Individual machined components

Plastic components for actuator assemblies

For a customer-defined part inside an actuator.

CDS machines engineered plastics from customer drawings and supports existing-part documentation for replacements. Send the individual component's drawing, specification or sample records to confirm its material and machining scope. Complete powered actuators, controls and matched assemblies are outside this offer.

The individual part to be machined

An actuator contains several components. Identify the particular plastic part by its name, part number and drawing; an assembly reference or photograph can locate it when terminology is unclear.

Profile, openings and part thickness
  1. Profile identifies the individual part outline.
  2. Openings have specified sizes and locations.
  3. Thickness is a dimension of the component itself.

Illustrative face and edge views of one component, not a standard actuator part or CDS component set. Your part drawing provides its actual geometry, material and machining requirements.

The component drawing supplies its outside profile, holes, pockets, threads and end details. A complete actuator drawing alone may not provide the dimensions needed to manufacture the individual part.

For another component, identify the exact item on the assembly record and provide its part definition. CDS confirms the particular machining scope.

Drawing, material and existing-part records

The component's dimensions, material and required finish are customer specifications. They establish what CDS is being asked to manufacture.

Specified geometry

Provide the complete profile and dimensioned features, with tolerances and reference surfaces. Identify separately requested inserts, seals, fasteners or other items so their supply can be confirmed.

Exact material and documents

Give the full plastic grade, required brand or filler and permitted substitutions. List material, inspection and other required records. Availability and machining scope require confirmation for the part.

Existing parts without a drawing

Reverse engineering documents an existing component for manufacture. Mark wear, distortion or repairs; provide reliable dimensions, older prints or an unworn spare when available. Unknown requirements need clarification.

Revisions and repeat quantities

Customer-specified changes require an updated drawing and revision. Use the current part number and previous CDS order reference when requesting repeat quantities.

Special part requirements

Identify required electrical, thermal, detection or other standards and tests in the part specification. Their fulfillment must be confirmed explicitly; component machining does not establish a complete actuator's ratings or performance.

Request a component machining quote

Send the individual part drawing, specification, dimensioned sketch or details of an available sample. Include an assembly reference when needed to identify the component.

Part definition

Component name and number, current revision, profile, holes and connection features. Include the specified dimensions, tolerances, finish and reliable sample references.

Material and supply

Exact grade, required brand or filler, permitted substitutions, required documents and separately requested items. Flag unresolved dimensions or material requirements.

Order details

Quantity now, repeat needs, requested timing and previous CDS order reference. Specific machining scope, availability and timing need confirmation.
