CDS machines wear rings without minimum quantities and stocks common sizes for repeat orders. Confirm the exact size and current availability when requesting a quote.
The ring profile to be machined
Wear rings and guide rings can have different profiles and constructions. The part drawing identifies the ring dimensions, cross-section and any joint or additional features.
- Ring section lies between the inside and outside diameters.
- Joint is specified when a cut ring is required.
- Axial width is the distance between the ring faces.

Inside and outside diameters
Both diameters, the axial width and any steps or chamfers describe the ring section. Include the tolerances and finish required for the supplied part.
Continuous or cut construction
A complete ring and a ring with a cut joint have different manufacturing details. Show the required construction, joint shape and gap on the drawing so CDS can quote the specified part.
Identify the individual ring
Names such as cylinder guide ring, rider ring, pump case ring and impeller ring identify different components. Use the part number and drawing to distinguish the ring being ordered, especially when several rings belong to one assembly.
Drawings, material specifications and existing rings
CDS can quote a defined ring or review an existing part for replacement machining. The information available determines what still needs clarification before manufacture.
Machining to your current revision
A CAD/PDF technical drawing, 2D or 3D file, specification or dimensioned hand sketch can describe the required ring. Identify the current revision and any changes from a previous CDS order.
Exact material and grade
Send the full material callout, including any compound, filler or proprietary grade requirement and permitted substitutions. CDS confirms material availability for the quoted work.

Request a quote for your wear ring
Send the ring requirement and order details. For common sizes or a repeat order, include the size or previous CDS reference so availability can be checked.
Ring specification
Drawing, revision and part number; inside and outside diameters, width, profile, joint details, tolerances and finish. For sample work, identify the existing ring and available records.
Material and records
Exact material and grade, permitted substitutions, and required material or inspection documentation.
Quantity and repeat needs
Quantity by size or revision, expected repeat orders, requested timing and any previous CDS order reference.
