Custom plastic manifolds
CDS CNC machines fluid-distribution bodies from customer drawings and existing-part records.
Order a new or revised manifold to your specification, or begin replacement work with an existing part. Drawings, dimensioned sketches and sample records establish the passages, ports and material to be machined.
Single prototype through production quantities. No minimum order for custom manifolds.
Specified material, machining scope and timing are confirmed for your request.
Part specifications and CAD files maintained for future orders.
Machined passages, ports and mounting features
A manifold is a ported body with connected internal passages. The machining drawing needs to show the internal passage arrangement as well as the outside dimensions. A part with the same outline can have different internal connections.
- 1Common passage
- The main fluid path through the body.
- 2Branch passages
- The connections between the common passage and individual ports.
- 3Ports
- Inlet, outlet, gauge, vent and auxiliary connections, each with its own location and orientation.
- 4Mounting features
- Holes, slots or other attachment details located on the part drawing.
Connection callouts and feature locations
The customer drawing specifies port sizes, depths, locations and orientations. Provide exact connection or thread callouts and the dimensions of any seal seats, grooves or mounting features. These are separate machining requirements.
CDS's CNC milling service supports custom manifold manufacture. The specified features, tolerances and requested records are confirmed with the quotation.
Manifold inquiries can involve dosing and distribution arrangements, headers, industrial fluid handling, water-treatment or filtration and sanitation equipment, and pharmaceutical equipment. Each application has its own service and documentation requirements.
New, revised and replacement manifolds
New or revised work
A current drawing, specification or dimensioned sketch defines the manifold to be machined. Identify customer-specified changes and the current revision so repeat work follows the correct part record.
Replacing a manifold without a reliable drawing
An unavailable or obsolete manifold can start with physical-sample replication or reverse engineering of the existing part. Old prints, sketches, part numbers and material records help document its geometry and specification.
Identify damaged ports, repairs and any known differences from the required part. Hidden passages and worn features may need reliable dimensions or other records. Unknown geometry and material requirements need clarification before machining.
A photograph can introduce the project. It cannot define hidden passages, dimensions, tolerances, interfaces or material.
Your specified manifold material
CDS accepts manifold inquiries in the materials below. Supply the exact grade on your specification; availability and machining scope are confirmed for the particular part.
- PVDF
- CPVC
- Polypropylene
- PVC
- PTFE
- PEEK
Acrylic and polycarbonate inquiries
If your drawing specifies acrylic or polycarbonate, include the exact grade and any required transparency or finish. The quotation confirms the material and machining requirements for that manifold.
Material callout and required records
A material-family name may not identify the required formulation, brand or filler. Provide the complete material callout, permitted substitutions and any required material or inspection records.
The customer specification establishes the material and component requirements. Required testing or documentation needs explicit confirmation; the machining offer does not establish a pressure rating, leak-test service or application qualification.
Request a quote for your manifold
Send the available drawing, specification, dimensioned sketch or sample details. Identify each part number, revision and quantity so CDS can quote the machining work.
Your manifold and its geometry
Part number and revision; complete passage and port arrangement; connection callouts, depths and locations; body and mounting dimensions; specified tolerances and finish. Identify unreliable sample features and available supporting records.
Material and records
Exact grade, required brand or filler, permitted substitutions and requested documents. Provide the controlling part specification and identify unresolved dimensions or material details.
Quantity and acceptance
Quantity or quantity tiers, repeat requirements, requested timing and previous CDS order reference. Include buyer-defined acceptance criteria and required inspection records.
Contact CDS before arranging to send a physical manifold. Sales can confirm how to provide the available part records.
