CDS's machined-component work includes mounting blocks and structural brackets for OEM equipment, with mounting-bracket machining also offered for material-handling equipment. Send your drawing, specification or existing-part records for a machining quotation.
The part drawing defines the mounting faces, offsets, fixing pattern and material. For a customer-specified revision, provide the updated drawing.
Mounting faces, offsets and fixing patterns
A bracket has faces and attachment features that locate it within an assembly. Their dimensions and relationship belong on the individual bracket drawing.
- Mounting face is a dimensioned surface of the bracket.
- Attachment hole has a specified size and location.
- Offset is defined by the customer drawing.

Profile and mounting faces
Outside dimensions, thickness, included angles, offsets and reference surfaces describe the bracket body. Show each face in the views needed to define its geometry.
Holes, slots and recesses
Hole patterns, slots, counterbores, pockets and reliefs need their own sizes and locations. Identify threads and customer-specified finish or tolerance callouts.
Separate hardware and components
Distinguish machined holes from separately requested inserts, fasteners or other hardware. Their supply and any assembly work require confirmation for the quotation.
Reproducing an existing bracket
An obsolete or undocumented bracket can start with a physical sample and available records. An older drawing or unworn spare can provide dimensions that a damaged part has lost.
Reliable dimensions and reference features
Reverse engineering documents existing-part geometry for manufacture. Identify cracked holes, distorted faces, repairs and other features that no longer represent the required part.
Provide known angles, offsets and hole locations where available. Missing dimensions or unknown material requirements need clarification before machining.
Revised and repeat parts
For a changed face, hole pattern or offset, supply your revised drawing. For repeat quantities, identify the current part number, revision and previous CDS order reference.
Your specified plastic and grade
Give the complete material callout, including any required brand, filler or permitted substitution. For a replacement, provide the existing material record when available.
CDS confirms material availability and machining scope for the particular bracket. Appearance alone does not establish the plastic or grade.
Drawing and documentation requirements
List required material, inspection or other records with the part specification. Electrical, thermal, flame or other special requirements need explicit confirmation; they are not established by machining the bracket.

Part definition
Part number and revision; mounting faces, angles, offsets, holes and slots; specified dimensions, tolerances and finish. Mark reliable sample features and unresolved dimensions.

Exact grade, required brand or filler, permitted substitutions and requested records. Identify separate hardware or assembly requirements for confirmation.
Order details
Quantity now, repeat needs, requested timing and previous CDS order reference. Availability, machining scope and timing are confirmed for the quotation.
