Your old part can start the conversation

CDS can review an existing plastic part for replacement machining when the original drawing is missing. Reverse engineering documents the existing component and its features.

Send photos, an old drawing, a part number or known dimensions with your inquiry. Mark worn or repaired areas: a sample may no longer preserve its original dimensions or identify the material. Missing requirements need clarification before manufacture. Contact CDS before arranging to send a physical sample.

One replacement or a recurring requirement

Share the quantity for a replacement or production run. CDS confirms the machining scope and order details for the specified part. For repeat work, provide the current revision and previous order reference.

CDS maintains part specifications and CAD files for future orders.

Request machining for your part

A part name is useful, but a drawing, specification or existing component is the starting point. Send the manufacturing information available for your inquiry.

Drawing or existing part

Current drawing, specification or dimensioned sketch; part number and revision; required dimensions, tolerances, finish and additional features. For a replacement, identify whether an existing part is available.

Specified material

Material and exact grade, required brand or filler, and permitted substitutions. Specify virgin or reprocessed material when required. CDS confirms grade, form and availability for the quote.

Order and documentation

Quantity by part or revision, repeat needs and requested timing. Include required material or inspection documents and any previous CDS order reference.
